Rob Reiner appears to be grossly uninformed.

Really, he took the rifle across state lines? I like Mr. Reiner, but this is baffling to me.

Heated exchange after racially charged comments at San Diego County Board of Supervisors meeting

SAN DIEGO — The county Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 Tuesday to keep a vaccine mandate for new employees in place, following a lengthy and occasionally contentious public hearing that included a heated exchange involving an individual speaker and Supervisor Nora Vargas after the speaker made several personal attacks on board members and a public health official.

Unfortunately, our County Board of Supervisors meetings are continuing their downward slide... this from yesterday. For background, Nora Vargas, Nathan Fletcher, and Terra Lawson-Remer are on the board. Our Public Health Director, Wilma Wooten, is Black.

On edit. When I first posted this, the typical picture of the YouTube video appeared and clicking the Play button worked. For whatever reason it has changed. However, at least on my computer clicking the "Watch on YouTube" link still takes one to the video. ???

Beloved mountain gorilla has died.

A beloved mountain gorilla who in 2019 struck a pose in a selfie seen around the world has died at the age of 14. The Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo said that Ndakasi died last month after a prolonged illness.

"It is with heartfelt sadness that Virunga announces the death of beloved orphaned mountain gorilla, Ndakasi, who had been under the care of the Park's Senkwekwe Center for more than a decade," the park said, adding she took her final breath in the arms of her caretaker, Andre Bauma.

Bauma said it was "privilege to support and care for such a loving creature."
