A man has been charged with assaulting the former UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock on the London Underground. The attacker repeatedly calls Mr Hancock a "murderer" and "fraud", attacking the Conservative MP's handling the coronavirus pandemic.

Illinois man charged in Planned Parenthood arson

Authorities have arrested an Illinois man on charges of setting fire to a Planned Parenthood facility earlier this month.

Tyler W. Massengill, 32, of Chillicothe, Ill., was charged Wednesday with malicious use of fire and an explosive to damage, and attempt to damage, the Justice Department said in a statement.

Knife attack on German train kills 2, injures 7

A knife attack on a train in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein has left two people dead and seven wounded, according to the state's interior minister.

The attack happened on a train traveling from Kiel to Hamburg as it approached the town of Brokstedt at around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Ex-student gets 8 years for spying for Chinese government

A federal jury in Chicago in September convicted Ji Chaoqun, 31, of conspiracy to act as an agent of China’s Ministry of State Security (MSS) without notifying the U.S. Attorney-General, acting as a spy in the US, and lying on a government form about his contacts with foreign agencies.

Machete Attacks at 2 Churches in Spain Leave 1 Dead, Several Injured

A machete-wielding man killed a sexton and injured a priest in attacks at two churches in the city of Algeciras on Wednesday before being arrested, Spain’s interior ministry said, in what authorities are investigating as a possible act of terrorism. The suspect was arrested in the southern city and is in the custody of Spain’s National Police.

Lying Rep. George Santos delivers his first speech on the House floor

Disgraced Rep. George Santos delivered his first House floor speech on Wednesday since being sworn in as a member of Congress earlier this month.

The New York Republican rose to speak on the plight of Iranian protesters and acknowledge their bravery during his minute-long address. Santos also called on the Biden administration to do more than impose “mere sanctions” on the Iranian regime as punishment for its treatment of the demonstrators.
