"All the allies who fought in the war against fascism have fully adopted the national policy of genocide. Each government makes victim the children of its country because of the acceptance of the fascist belief in mass extermination as a viable political practice for an entire nation. This theory of mass extermination; it was because of such behavior that the war against fascism was presumably being fought."

For better and worse the power of the American Presidency increased exponentially in the 20th century. Those of us who lived through the Vietnam War era and read the Pentagon Papers know that five administrations lied through their teeth about Vietnam. 58,000+ dead Americans and over 2 million SE Asians.....for nothing....except war profits for arms manufacturers.
Then with Wategate we saw an American president who was not only caught in lies about Vietnam that led to Watergate, he was also directing a criminal conspiracy!!!!
Nixon should have been convicted and rotted in jail and that example would have put a check on the lies and criminal activity of future presidents. But Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon to "help our country heal" and justice was not served.
I believe that pardon led to Iran/Contra, WMD's and Donald Trump.
Ford was wrong.....true healing in America can only occur when justice reigns for all and not just for the rich and powerful.

Earlier (sportswashing) today at the (sportswashing) Masters, the commentators (sportswashing) noticed that even before he (sportswashing) lost the lead (sportswashing) Brooks Koepka had lost (sportswashing) the crowd.
I can not (sportswashing) for the life of me (sportswashing) figure out (sportswashing) why a crowd favorite (sportswashing) of the past (sportswashing) could lose (sportswashing) his fans.

"People get discouraged. They should remember, from me, it takes courage not to be discouraged." Ben Ferencz
What a coincidence, I just quoted him earlier today in a thread!
