Ladies and gentlemen the unbridled id of "the Donald."

“Ronna McDaniel got fired by Fake News NBC. She only lasted two days, and this after McDaniel went out of her way to say what they wanted to hear. It leaves her in a very strange place, it’s called NEVER NEVERLAND, and it’s not a place you want to be.”

He just makes shit up as he goes along his sad little way.

Bernie's 4 day week is not off base.

A Four-Day Workweek Reduces Stress without Hurting Productivity

The results of a test involving dozens of employers and thousands of employees suggests that working only four days instead of five is good for workers’ well-being—without hurting companies. Working four days instead of five—with the same pay—leads to improved well-being among employees without damaging the company’s productivity. That’s the recently reported result of a four-day workweek test that ran for six months, from June to December 2022, and involved a total of 61 U.K. companies with a combined workforce of about 2,900 employees.

During the COVID pandemic, many workers experienced increased stress and even burnout, a state of exhaustion that can make it difficult to meet work goals. “It’s a very huge issue,” says independent organizational psychologist and consultant Michael Leiter, who was not involved in the new report. “You see it particularly in health care, where I do a lot of my work. It’s making it much more difficult to hold on to talented people.” He explains that stress in the workplace makes it difficult for companies in health care and many other fields to recruit new hires and keep existing employees. But a greater awareness of burnout and related issues can have a positive effect, Leiter adds. “People are demanding more changes in how the work is organized,” he says.

That demand is what led the independent research organization Autonomy, in conjunction with the advocacy groups 4 Day Week Global and 4 Day Week Campaign and researchers at the University of Cambridge, Boston College and other institutions, to publish a report on what happens when companies reduce the number of days in a workweek. According to surveys of participants, 71 percent of respondents reported lower levels of burnout, and 39 percent reported being less stressed than when they began the test. Companies experienced 65 percent fewer sick and personal days. And the number of resignations dropped by more than half, compared with an earlier six-month period. Despite employees logging fewer work hours, companies’ revenues barely changed during the test period. In fact, they actually increased slightly, by 1.4 percent on average.

Republican opponent of US aid to Ukraine brings his case to an international conference

MUNICH (AP) — A Republican opponent of new U.S. funding for Ukraine argued at an international security conference Sunday that the package stuck in Congress wouldn’t “fundamentally change the reality” on the ground and that Russia has an incentive to negotiate peace.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris and others have advocated passage of the $60 billion in aid at the Munich Security Conference, which coincided with Ukraine withdrawing troops from the eastern city of Avdiivka after months of intense combat.

But Sen. JD Vance, an Ohio Republican and ally of Donald Trump, said “the problem in Ukraine … is that there’s no clear end point” and that the U.S. doesn’t make enough weapons to support wars in eastern Europe, the Middle East and “potentially a contingency in East Asia.”

I don't know where to begin, but he's putting a dangerous spin on "useful idiot."

He suggests that we have to keep all of our weapons because we might need to go to war with pretty much the whole world.

He's like Albania level crazy.

MSNBC's Katy Tur asked a question about Trump ... and she's (still) getting roasted for it:

With news breaking on Friday that former President Donald Trump had been hammered with a $364 million penalty in a civil case alleging financial fraud, MSNBC host Katy Tur tossed a softball question to her panel.

“Is this fair, to go after Donald Trump like this in this environment?” she asked New York Times reporter Susan Craig and the network’s legal analyst Lisa Rubin.

Wait, did we say, “softball”?

We meant “live grenade.”

Even though Tur was trying to solicit and answer for the MAGA supporters and others who believe the civil and criminal cases against Trump are witch hunts that are designed to torpedo his bid for another term as President, liberal viewers didn’t like the sympathetic framing for a candidate they believe is putting American democracy at risk. And, oh, by the way, Trump was found liable.

Even tennis icon Martina Navratilova went for the jugular: “Get rid of Katy TUR, she is awful.”

How Jimmy Carter helped avert a nuclear disaster near Ottawa in 1952

More intelligence, character, strength, and integrity than Reagan could ever dream of possessing yet he was destroyed by the the backdoor deal that Reagan made with Iran involving the release of U.S. Embassy hostages until after the election.

Judge Who Pushed to Delay Donald Trump Trial Raises Eyebrows

This article is from Newsweek dtd Dec 19, 2023....

[In a decision on Monday, December 18, the three-judge Washington federal appeals court said it would hear oral arguments in Trump's case on January 9.

But at the bottom of the order, it noted that Judge Karen LeCraft Henderson had sought a full Supreme Court judgment before deciding the case. Henderson has ruled in favor of Trump in a number of previous decisions.

"Judge Henderson would stay any further action by this court until the United States Supreme Court has taken final action on the Government's petition for certiorari before judgment now pending before it in this case," Monday's order states.

Had Henderson succeeded, it would have delayed Trump's case even further, as the Supreme Court would first have had to make a ruling, and then the case would have been passed down to the appeals court for decision.]

Israel's Netanyahu rejects any Palestinian sovereignty post-war, rebuffing Biden

JERUSALEM — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Saturday that he "will not compromise on full Israeli control" over Gaza and that "this is contrary to a Palestinian state," rejecting U.S. President Joe Biden's suggestion that creative solutions could bridge wide gaps between the leaders' views on Palestinian statehood.

In a sign of the pressures Netanyahu's government faces at home, thousands of Israelis protested in Tel Aviv calling for new elections, and others demonstrated outside the prime minister's house, joining families of the more than 100 remaining hostages held by Hamas and other militants. They fear that Israel's military activity further endangers hostages' lives.

How is our President supposed to deal in good faith when Netanyahu lives to jam the gift horse's shoes up its ass?
