Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill' Hands $5 Billion Win To Big Pharma: Report

The GRIFT be with him, always.

Trump's 'Big, Beautiful Bill' Hands $5 Billion Win To Big Pharma: Report - Benzinga via MSN

Donald Trump‘s $3.3 trillion domestic agenda bill, passed by House Republicans on Thursday, includes a significant but little-noticed victory for pharmaceutical companies that will cost taxpayers nearly $5 billion over the next decade.

What Happened: The legislation expands exemptions from Medicare’s drug price negotiation program, allowing manufacturers to keep prices higher for medications treating multiple rare diseases, The New York Times reported. The Congressional Budget Office estimates this change will reduce government savings by $5 billion through 2034.

“This is essentially giving $5 billion back to the pharmaceutical industry,” said Benjamin Rome, a health policy researcher at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, according to the report. “It’s done in a way that is designed, on its face, to solve the problem of some misaligned incentives, but I don’t think it solves those problems.”

Trump won't need to cancel the midterms if this Republican plot succeeds - by Thom Hartmann

Trump won't need to cancel the midterms if this Republican plot succeeds - Alternet

Speaking to NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, Carville warned that as Donald Trump sees a political shellacking coming in the 2026 midterms — particularly in states like New Jersey and Virginia — he may try something extreme to hold onto power. “The hoof prints are coming,” Carville said, and he’s not wrong.

Trump has already laid the psychological and structural groundwork to undermine or suspend elections; he just may not need to declare martial law if his fixers pull off what’s happening already this year.

Award-winning investigative journalist Greg Palast, a committed non-partisan, has laid it out in painful detail. And what he’s uncovered should terrify every American who believes in democracy.

Palast argues that Trump’s GOP doesn’t have to wait for November 2026 to win. They plan to win it in 2025, through something he calls The Great Purge, authorized by five corrupt Republicans on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Elizabeth Warren's Troubling Video Describes How Republicans Reacted After They Voted On the Big BAD Bill

Elizabeth Warren, architect of the CFPB, the agency whose work had benefited millions of American consumers, and the agency that Republicans and later, Trump, have been trying to KILL ever since its inception, again calls them out for WHAT THEY ARE:

Elizabeth Warren Posted This Troubling Video Describing How Senate Republicans Reacted After They Voted On The "One Big Beautiful Bill" - BuzzFeed Visa Yahoo

"They cheered over taking away healthcare from around 17 million people.

They cheered over giving huge tax breaks to a handful of billionaires.

They cheered over running up the national debt by another three and a half trillion dollars.

You know, this bill, it's bad. It's bad economically. It's bad morally," Warren says. "This bill is just wrong."

Authoritarianism Expert Reveals 'Chilling' Phrase Trump Used During New Threat

Authoritarianism Expert Reveals 'Chilling' Phrase Trump Used During New Threat - Huffpost via Yahoo

Trump on Tuesday threatened to strip U.S. citizens of their nationality and then deport them if they commit certain crimes ― including some who were born in the United States.

“They’re not new to our country. They’re old to our country. Many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here, too, if you want to know the truth,” he said during a visit to a new migrant detention facility. “So maybe that will be the next job that we’ll work on together.”

Ben-Ghiat, the author of “Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present,” responded on X about Trump’s comments:

"The Homegrowns Will Be Next," is one of the more chilling authoritarian phrases I have heard. This is also why they want to increase ICE's budget so much.
