Some here at DU have been posting threads and presenting details on the horrors of TRUMP'S Project 2025/aka Agenda 47.
Including the fact that it is a dystopian, fascist MAGA-vision of an authoritarian dictatorship under Donald Trump, in which all government (and by default LAWS) are subject to his whim.
It involves the gutting of governmental checks and balances, the militarization of America's police force to empower them to arrest and terrorize journalists, liberals and Trump's political enemies, the decimation of entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare, mass deportations, stops and frisks, and the criminalization of abortion, birth control, and those seeking it.
And that's just for starters. Here are some more MAGA minded initiatives proposed in TRUMP'S plan:
The decimation of the Department of Education and abandonment of public schools while supporting taxpayer funded vouchers for private schools (under the guise of "school choice"
Mass deportations, a new border wall, and a military presence at the border.
Reversal of current law approving use of mifepristone, including making it unavailable via mail, more stringent rules for prescribing it, and efforts to prosecute "providers and distributors."
Replacing reproductive healthcare and access with a "pro life" government taskforce using "their authority" to discourage (aka undermine) abortion rights.
The enforcement of the GOP's 2016 Platform that denies any sexuality other than "biological reality" and that denies, single parent households and same sex marriages and unions as being of an "ideal, natural family structure."
Instructing the DHHS is to "maintain a biblically based, social science-reinforced definition of marriage and family."
Banning transgender people from the military.
Hobbling the NOAA, including the National Weather Service and National Marine Fisheries, because, "climate change."
Dismantling the Department of Homeland Security because, Putin?
Further hobbling the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (like Trump tried to do when he installed his sycophant Mike Mulvany back then), because, bank junk fees be good, little Timmy sez.
The obliteration of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion initiatives in all facets of government and society via the trashing of DEI related positions, policies, programs, and funding;
further suggesting that the mere MENTION of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (FORMERLY KNOWN AS, INTEGRATION) should be grounds for immediate termination.
Finishing the (so-called) wall at the border (you know, the one Mexico was supposed to pay for) and the use of the military and National Guard to "help with arrest operations." Including at currently defined "sensitive places"... like churches, PLAYGROUNDS, AND SCHOOLS.
And should the "Homeland Security secretary" determine there's "an actual or anticipated mass migration of 'aliens' that present 'urgent circumstances' warranting a response, Trump's AGENDA says the secretary can make up shit on the fly, including expulsion, for as long as...whenever.
Oh and it also calls for the elimination of "dietary guidelines that have been published by the Department of Agriculture for more than 40 years," because, BURGERS be GOOD FOR YA... sez Wimpy.
