Donald Trump's senior adviser Jason Miller says that under a second Trump presidency, "it's 'going to be up to the states' whether or not they set up regimes to monitor women’s pregnancies so they can prosecute them for getting out of state abortions."
During a Wednesday Newsmax interview, the conservative interviewer asked, "[Trump] wouldn't support monitoring pregnancies even if a state decided to do that?"
Miller replied, "Well, he's made it very clear that he's not gonna go and weigh in and try to push various states in how they want to go and set up their particular rules and restrictions. That's gonna be up to the states."

Residents in Michigan town with Harris signs say they're being targeted. Signs pulled up, nails thrown on driveway...
DEXTER, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - Residents in Dexter with "Harris for President" signs in their yards have had nails and several other items thrown onto their driveways for more than a month. They said they believe the targeted incidents are politically motivated.
"I have the first amendment rights, as does everyone — the neighbors of both persuasions — we have the right to proclaim in a peaceful public manner who we're voting for," said resident Karen Filipiak.
They say they had trash and clothing tossed onto their driveways over Labor Day weekend and that their yard signs had been torn out and thrown across the road. Local police were able to identify some local high school students in those incidents, but then the nails began to show up.
One resident shared a video from his home security camera of someone throwing nails on their driveway from a red pickup truck.
On Monday, the man struck four times.

First Muslim mayor of Michigan city endorses Trump for president (WTF)
WASHINGTON (TND) — In recent presidential elections, margins of victory don't get much tighter than they do in Michigan. It's why, on Sunday, when the mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan, announced his support for former President Donald Trump, it made national news.
Mayor Amer Ghalib met with Trump during a closed session in Flint last week during which Ghalib said Trump asked for his endorsement. On Sunday afternoon, Ghalib posted on Facebook that the 45th president has his support.
"President Trump and I may not agree on everything, but I know he is a man of principles. Though it’s looking good, he may or may not win the election and be the 47th president of the United States, but I believe he is the right choice for this critical time. I’ll not regret my decision no matter what the outcome would be, and I’m ready to face the consequences," Ghalib said.
In an interview with local outlet OZ Media before the endorsement, Ghalib said, “We have hope that he will end the war in the Middle East...There’s nothing worse than what’s happening now.”

Four reasons why it is MORE likely that Harris voters will be underestimated in this election
Trump maxxed out his support from 'hidden voters' in 2020, surpassing 2016, but I don't believe there's any way he can pull that trick one more time, especially with the way everything has been going for him. He's shedding support rather than adding it.
Instead, I think the polls are under-counting Harris supporters this time, while pollsters have tried to adjust to account for those 'hidden Trump voters' of 2016 and 2020 by inflating the presumed 'Trump vote'. I believe the pollsters will dramatically underestimate support for the Democratic ticket.
Reasons:
#1 Democrats had little in-person ground game in 2020 because of COVID, while the Republicans DID work door-to-door-- and I believe that factor alone accounted for much of Biden's under-performance vs. his polling. THIS year, it's the OPPOSITE-- Democrats have the ground game, while the GOP is relying on outside groups to do their canvassing for them--- people whom leading Republicans are now fretting about, because they have little evidence that the job is being done.
#2 DOBBS DOBBS DOBBS!!! Women aren't forgetting it, and Kamala Harris is doing everything she can to remind them about it. Democrats have been over-performing their polls in elections ever since, because women outnumber men, they are pissed, and they are VOTING for Democrats!!! Special elections, which have been shown to be predictive of later presidential election results, have all been going in our party's favor, with our candidates out-performing their polls by an average of four percent, and sometimes as much as eight percent! (THERE's your "hidden voters"!)
#3 New voter registration among young people and young women has been spiking in excitement over the Harris candidacy, and we now have the "voter enthusiasm" advantage over the Trump voters. This is big. I'll throw Taylor Swift into this mix.
#4 The endless stream of Republicans endorsing the Harris-Walz ticket and speaking out against Trump grows bigger by the day-- and is giving disgruntled Republicans "cover" to vote against Trump. We didn't have that in 2020 except for a small handful, but now it is a river demonstrating how Trump is losing support from members of his own party.
My conclusion:
There isn't going to BE any "overstatement" of Harris support by pollsters prior to this election, and I believe I have just shown FOUR BIG REASONS why it is more likely to be support for Harris which will be underestimated in this election.
It will all come down to GOTV in the end, of course,
but in 2024, we are NOT
"sailing against the wind" !!!!

Come to think of it, the anti-abortion movement seems to have a lot in common
with the 'Temperance movement'---
They both wanted to dictate their own version of 'moral behavior' on our country,
and they both eventually got what they wanted, partially--
but the consequences are/were horrific for our nation!
We know what became of the Temperance movement and their goal--
after more than a decade of imposing a 'legally dry' state upon our country
which was anything but dry, and which created and enriched 'organized crime'
in this country--- their law was repealed and we haven't heard much from them since!
I predict the same fate will befall the anti-abortion movement---
while they probably will not disappear entirely,
their Pyrrhic victory will be erased, sooner or later---
and they are already being shunned by a small portion of the party
who embraced them and took up their banner!
I believe that the eventual results of this election will serve as a lesson
to those on the far right, in Congress as well as the state legislatures,
who have been "doubling down" on this issue---
and, counting the political cost, those who survive will have "a quietus put upon them"
about this issue-- and then they will be attacked by those
whose water they carried for so many years!

I worked with a Haitian immigrant in my youth,
in our mutual employment with a national pizza chain, as delivery drivers....
He spoke perfect English with a french accent... word was that his parents were rich, and sent him here to work.
He may have been attending college here at the same time, I do not know, but he was very intelligent.
I think he was the best driver employee that the store had...
Perfect attendance so far as I know, always a perfect attitude, very hard worker,
all business, the best kind of employee that "capitalist dogs" could hope for!!!
Never a drinker or drug user, and it was impossible to drag a 'snarky comment' out of his mouth---
unless it might have been directed at some of his fellow drivers. (hi!)
I remember one occasion where he actually RENTED a car when his had broken down,
so that he would not miss a day or two of work! (something I never even considered doing)
Basically, he was a better employee than all the 'white guys' put together!
(and some of us may have resented him a little for that!)
I don't think he was a US citizen at that time, but I presume he was a legal worker...
and I do suspect he went on to become a US citizen and still lives here somewhere, but I don't know.

P.S. He never ate cats or dogs, but only his share of pizza while he was at work...
