About RobertAustin

I am a science and mathematics teacher in Little Rock, Arkansas. I have taught for 17 years. In April, 2012, our unions in the Pulaski County Special School District were illegally attacked by our state's own government. They're being challenged in court. Waiting for a judge to intervene, though, is not my style. Also, a judge in Little Rock cannot help teachers and their unions who have this same problem, all across America. After corresponding with both Arkansas senators, one from each party, and receiving personal responses from each one that thanked me for alerting them to the problem, and then asked me to contact them again, should I need help from the federal government, I have taken them at their word. I have written (with help from others, of course) a bipartisan petition to Congress: The C.A.P. Proposal to save education across America, by attacking the problem at its source: overpaid and abusive administrators, the real reason all unions of teachers are formed in the first place. "C.A.P." stands for "Cut Administrators' Pay." Hit them in the wallets, and the corrupt ones will find other fields of work, freeing us to do our jobs, with only the administrators left (the few who aren't abusive) who are the only ones we need. The bad ones do nothing but line their own pockets, at taxpayer expense, and harm everyone else. It's time to put a stop to this. If you use Google to search for "education reform C.A.P. administrators' pay petition," or other similar searches, you'll find our petition online easily. It is designed to help us all, and will be most effective if you not only sign it, but also spread it. Unions are supposed to work together, in solidarity. Let's help each other!
