Not sure what to say... I'm a fairly long-time lurker, and finally took the plunge. I'm kinda a "rebound liberal". That basically means I grew up pretty liberal, got brainwashed by conservative media and Reagan's "kind conservatism" (note the quotes) and then came to my senses after the 2000 election. As for now, my brother, who is a LIFELONG liberal, says I make Karl Marx sound like Hitler! :) To all of you DUer's who joined before me, thank you for your insight, wisdom, and for showing me that I and the love of my life for these 44-odd years, (here in mostly Red GA), are not alone. On the non-political end, I was a part-time musician for most of my life, playing in bars since I was 15. My hands gave out on me, and now I cramp too badly to play more than an hour or so. I'm nearing retirement age, but I'm too broke to retire so I like to say my retirement plan is "10 toes up". My wife and I live in Central Georgia and have done so pretty much our entire marriage. My wife is amazing, looks significantly younger than I, and has the patience of Job. I work in IT for the gub'mint, but only since 2018. Been full-time IT since 2001. Before that I had a number of different jobs most of which I try to forget.
