place where he could be a warrior for liberal and Democratic beliefs. His fights were dedicated, determined and successful without the ultra drama of flashier, pandering egomaniacs.

Republicans targeted his seat because they saw a potential “opening” and vulnerability and the added perk of bringing down a former member of SNL was just too much to resist. We all know Republicans haven’t got an iota of humor or wit but shitloads of vengeance agenda and soulless plotting.

Also, because the insidious hideousness of sexual harassment is finally and successfully being addressed, they saw an opportunity to use that as well.

The initial allegation against Franken was an insulting embarrassment and disservice to the millions of women who ARE victimized and targeted, and after the flurry of “fifteen minutes of fame”, the woman’s victimization could be seen for what it was, a hit job. In this climate of “The Stupid” and reality show mentality ratings obsession it was a breeze to get tons of air time and Internet attention. Even so, Franken owned up to the embarrassment of a juvenile photo op and put himself squarely and honestly in the hands of a Senate’s ethics commitee investigation.

In this instance, the other pile-on allegations that weren’t cloaked by the sometimes sorely abused convenience of “anonymity” were lame at best~ and another outrageous disservice to the sufferings of true victims of abuse and predators , who genuinely guard their privacy and lives with sound reasons.

The Perfect Storm of political opportunity to attack.

And then his fellow/Pal/co-worker/friend Democrat Senators stepped up to bring him totally down. Jaysus, how eager they were. And in this woman’s eyes, how easily and predictably manipulated they were when in the “name” of the high road (Which Republicans never travel) they denied a fair and honest chance for Al Franken to challenge the allegations, face his accusers, openly investigate all and accept their findings, with total co-operation.
(Accusers who miraculously drifted off into the convenient land of nothingness immediately)
Et tu, Democrats?

The Republicans quietly and smugly smiled. Check off another easy target. Democrats administered the final shot to the head. Our own head.

Now plot to take that seat, Republicans!

We lose a warrior and my juggling act continues.
