8. Yes. I heard a woman (some expert) on tv talk about this, her concerns.

She stated that our system of government was not set up or intended to protect our democracy against the kind of all-out corruption we are experiencing. No one thought that such a thing was likely in our country.

I forget who she was. She was on MSNBC...an older woman, I think. Not a politician or pundit. She was some expert of some sort. If I had to guess, I'd guess she's an author or a professor.

It was scary to hear her say that. That we may not be able to defend against the all-out assault that's going on, because of the Senators and Representatives who are part of it. And now the judiciary, and cabinet members, and department/agency heads. It's like an Octopus with tentacles that are reaching into all parts of our government, aided and abetted by those in power.
