He fantasizes that he is a decent human and a good president.

He fantasizes that teachers are superman in disguise.

He fantasizes that Mueller will not bust his corrupt ass.

trump is the realization of many years of repug lust for power and contempt for decency. To repugs, democracy is just an obstacle to be overcome.
