(3,240 posts)36. I would like to see these weapons treated a little stricter than others.
The fact that they can be modified to become automatic is one of the main reasons. I'm not saying ban them totally, but don't always compare them to other guns when they are very much different. I would just settle for banning bump stocks at this point.

All rifles are designed for accessories. A ruger 10/22 has a ton of accessories for it- it's popular

A ruger 10/22 is a "platform" as much as an AR is. Meaning, there are lots of accessories.
