In reply to the discussion: Let's put this to rest, Biden is polling better than Sanders for 2020 at this point [View all]dsc
(52,155 posts)18. I am literally trying to imagine any other group that you could use such stereotypes against
and not have any chance of having your post removed. Say for example a post about Cory Booker and Deval Patrick which talked about eating watermelon. Or a post about Bill Richardson and Julian Castro which talked about eating beans. Simply amazing we can do this to the old and no one bats an eye. Lord knows I am not a huge defender of Sanders nor even of Biden, but neither one have shown any sign of any ill health at all in recent years (Biden had very serious health issues in the late 1980's to my knowledge Sanders never has).

My candidate, Tom Steyer, is definitely new blood. He isn't too young though--he will be 63 in 2020.

No, it means he'd end up a few million votes behind the winner, just like he did

How about we put it to rest on the basis that polls for either are meaningless at this point?

Biden is old but would still make an excellent candidate. Bernie is old and NOTHING is free.

It's not ageist to say that a particular job is best served by someone younger.

Biden isn't running. He is giving cover for other Dems and loving torturing trump.

Biden would be a welcome relief both nationally and internationally. Run Joe Run.

A poll of the 15 top Democrats for 2020 in the WAPO last month has Bernie #1.
