4. It's always been ignorant xenophobic bullshit

It doesn't really matter if these morons have the same history or not, although it does point to their hypocrisy. The historical fact is that throughout US history and throughout the US there were millions of immigrants who didn't assimilate for generations. That's why there's never been an official US language. That's also why you have these remarkable islands of culture all over that eventually melted into the US and made us who we are.
