I wonder the same thing about the Sunday morning news shows - why is it predominately republicans? If it's because the dems don't get an official invite from the network, that's bullshit. Show up at the studio & make a stink until they put you on the air. You are US Congresspersons after all! Like it or not, a big part of politics is now marketing & the dems suck at it.
