If we lived in a healthy society, those people would be prosecuted for treason. And it would be easier, because in a healthy society, Trump would never have been taken seriously as a candidate for any public office. In fact, he'd have been incarcerated years ago, on both financial and sexual convictions.
This is, as you note, a struggle to prove that we are a nation of laws.
