The Rethug reason for getting involved in governance is for one reason and one reason alone.

To gain the opportunity to rape, pilfer, and plunder from the national treasury and the proceeds go directly into their wallets and secret bank accounts.

Making out like bandits on your dime - is the name and purpose of their game.

Why clutter up the above equation with something as mundane as effective and meaningful governance for the people ?
