11. Putin installed himself in power by using false flag bombings.

He had several apartment building bombed, killing hundreds of families, and blamed it on Chechen terrorists. For the last one, the bombers were seen and the bomb diffused. They weren't Chechens but were a team from the FSB. (Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation)
This news was suppressed and Putin became the uncontested leader of Russia.

I would expect Trump to try and emulate this if things get too hot for him.
Particularly if he gets to replace Sessions with someone who will cover up his crimes for him.
