he were the nominee in 2020 his age would be an issue, like it or not - he was born in 1942, so he'd be 76. Therefore his running mate should not only be young, or young-ish, but should be completely ready to take over as president. That person absolutely should not be a rookie at government. The thing that scared me the most about the 2008 election wasn't McCain - although he most likely would have continued Bush's neocon foreign policy, which I would not have liked at all - but Sarah Palin. Who knows whether the stress of the presidency might have done him in while he was in office? The idea of Palin as president was, and is, terrifying. She'd have been a cross between Trump a blonde joke. Obviously Avenatti isn't a dingbat like Palin, but he has no experience of any kind in any elected office or any other government experience.
