a Sharpie. The zillion times Ive heard this repeated, no one ever forgets the Sharpie part. No other marker will do, it HAS to be a Sharpie. I think this whole thing was made up by the Sharpie people, and they pay people to tell people on the Internet that if theyre going to hang around a hurricane, they have to write ID on themselves WITH A SHARPIE!!!
Damn. We lost Mom in the storm and it took forever for them to identify her because she wrote her social security number on her arm with a water proof Crayola instead of a Sharpie.
