The response should be, EVERY TIME, that yes, but the "Dixiecrats" all became Republicans because of the Civil Rights Act. LBJ said after he signed the Act that "We have lost the South for a generation." He was wrong. It's been more than a generation.
But if we VOTE maybe we can start to turn that around. Do it, Texas.
