instead of the dangerous policies/priorities of Pompeo and Bolton with whom she butted heads and lost.

Trump always smears people on their way out the door to diminish their credibility if/when they spill their guts about him.

Haley may indeed have acted very inappropriately. But the fact we are learning about it immediately upon her resignation indicates someone believes their own interests are served by pushing the story out. That someone is probably Trump or those closest to him.
