They are an independent watch dog group. There are dozens of these accross the spectrum of political beliefs. They all at one point or another "call" for an investigation.

That doesn't mean she is being investigated. It means there is a lot of smoke and somebody should be digging into it.

It is also the likely reason behind her decision. She wants to run for elected office again and wants this to die. That way when she runs it is instantly old, discredited news. It won't be either, but that will be their claim.
