31. If she can't get to 218, I hope a palatable female equivalent rises up asap.

I want Nancy, but a speaker who can't get to 218 will be a terrible speaker even if they were great in the past. You need control over your caucus. If the caucus isn't united around the speaker, then the speaker has to go.

At this point, I think that she will survive unless a multi-term female incumbent challenges her. I really don't see them choosing a man to replace her.
