(53,410 posts)55. I think of that dreadful year and know the present would be
diametrically different! It was the same year MLK Jr was killed.
So instead of getting Bobby Kennedy for President and MLK Jr fighting for equal rights everything progressive and right came to a screeching halt and we got Nixon as President.
Things went sideways and what would have been the most progressive decades in our history turned into shit. The worst part is we know this without a shadow of a doubt.
