One day they are free traders and the next day they are protectionists.

Trump was even closer to Pecker than he ever was to Murdoch and Pecker just sold him down the river.

Murdoch and his sons are a lot less ideological than people think. For years the largest investor in FOX news after the Murdoch family was Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal and yet night after night they would broadcast the most outrageous lies about Islam. Al-Waleed could care less because for them its all about Return on Investment.

Once Murdoch (and his sons) determine that there is no more upside with Trump and that they could make more money and have more influence by shaping who the next President is they will cut Trump loose in a New York minute.

Don't forget that in 2008 Murdoch didn't support McCain but supported Senator Clinton because they thought that she was going to be the next President.

A year from now a weary Republican Party is going to look for an alternative, probably Mitt Romney and they will want to have at least 12 months of separation from Trump to start rebuilding the Republican brand.

Trump's presidency now clings by a single thread, the Rupert Murdoch and family thread.
