His uncle wrote an essay because dozens of his own immediate family members are so ashamed of him.

Glosser, his uncle, described in the editorial how he has watched with “dismay and increasing horror” as his nephew has become “the architect of immigration policies that repudiate the very foundation of our family’s life in this country.”
