24. That date is less than a month away

If it is less than half a full term, then Mother's Son can run twice, so Jan. 21st is the day. But Ayatollah Pence is facing a dilemma. If Trump rides off into the sunset (and it will be on Aeroflot, not the Trump Shuttle), he has to defend his own shady record from day one from an investigation that has already smelled blood in the water. On the other hand, if he leaves at the same time Trump does, and it's after Jan. 3rd, they leave President Pelosi in their wake. I doubt Trump cares, but Pence will, and McTurtle will go down on his knees like Alec Guinness at the end of "The Bridge On The River Kwai," asking in despair, "what have I done?"

So, whatever it is they're discussing, I very much doubt it involves both of them leaving office of their own free will at the same time. The one now in office doesn't give a rat's ass about what he leaves behind, and the other is a rat who will do anything to save his own behind.

What I want to know is who arrived secretly and unobserved at the location hours before the dinner was announced, and is already there, or on speaker phone, or by video conference, giving them both legal advice as they discuss their options. I am confident of one thing: if the dinner leaves a president Pelosi in its wake, I wouldn't want to be holding a life insurance policy on either of them. Their Uncle Vladimir Vladimirovitch will not be pleased, and he is known to carry a grudge.
