The economy is so-so, with economists expecting a recession shortly after 2020. (I saw two interviews with economists. One was hard-left, the other one was an ultracapitalist who wants to go back to the gold-standard. Both expect a recession in the near future and both blame Trump for that.)
Job-numbers are in line with the Obama-recovery. Nothing extraordinary. (Can you even imagine Trump's outrage when Democrats describe his administration's job-growth as "the Obama-recovery?" )
That healthcare-reform he promised? Repealing Obamacare and replacing it with something better? Didn't happen. Just some superficial changes here and there.
Coal-jobs? Still not coming back.
The wall? Even if Trump somehow finds the money, the litigation will drag this out for years to come. There will be no progress by 2020.
The tax-"reform"? A shit-show of incompetence and laziness that didn't even decrease taxes for ordinary voters and will haunt tax-accountants for years.
North-Korea? Kim Jong-Un tricked Trump into signing the same toothless denuclearization statement NK has signed 5 times before. This is not going anywhere.
Withdrawing from Syria? Only works as long people ignore Assad's torture-dungeons or how the syrian military drops barrel-bombs on civilian regions. Read the reports by Amnesty International.
Draining the swamp? Well, Republicans understood "draining the swamp" as fighting the government that's keeps them from doing whatever they want. So... that would be something, but it will be weird for the Republicans to run as the law&order party while simultaneously attacking the FBI.
(Also, Democrats should co-opt "drain the swamp" by promising to be tougher on the elites. )
Literally the ONLY good thing coming out of the Trump-Presidency, and the only thing he could run on without any lies or caveats, was a land-mark prison-reform.
And his administration failed to notify the public and basically nobody knows that even happened.
Trump was able to attack HRC because he was the underdog. But in 2020 he can't use that shtick.
