(5,554 posts)36. My wife went from moving her chair for bathroom door to open to executive VP of a Construction Co.
Put up with daily bs, told she was taking advantage of them for not training new man to be her boss getting paid more, he didn't last long, subcontractor wanted to talk to someone in charge not another secretary, her reply "If you want your contract signed you talk to me". Her warnings were ignored and was no longer allowed to attend meetings with bonding company. Last straw. They went under in a few years. Worked her ass off for Obama and the ACA. Diabetic son made us very aware of insurance co shenanigans. ACA started a few months after her cancer diagnosis and losing heath care was something she didn't have to worry about. She was a superhero and I miss her every day.
