and was actually somewhat high for a typical white-collar crime, and she had no power to correct for Ellis' failure to follow the guidelines. Manafort has also had to forfeit most of his assets so when he gets out he'll be old (77) and broke. There's also the possibility that state prosecutors will go after him. Looks like a pretty reasonable dose of justice to me.

If you've ever seen the inside of a federal prison, even a minimum-security one, you wouldn't complain that he isn't getting punished enough. Prison sucks a lot, and it will especially suck for a guy who was accustomed to living high off the hog.
