8. Ohio 2004 demonstrated that conclusively

The Republican owners of the electronic voting machines wouldn't let anyone verify their announced "results" showing that Bush won. Only ONE of their machines was forensically examined after the election. It was in some tiny rural precinct, and the machine's owners didn't show up to collect it until after it had been examined. In a precinct with 600 registered voters, it gave 3000 votes to Bush.

The owners of the machines said it was just a "glitch," and STILL refused to allow the other machines in Ohio to be examined, since the winner of Ohio was the winner of the 2004 presidential election. Exit polls said Kerry clearly won Ohio, but the Ohio Secretary of State was also the chairman of the Ohio Committee to re-elect Bush. How did anyone ever think Ohio could go for Kerry under those circumstances? Like Stalin is supposed to have said: "Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything."

THIS is how Republicans "win" elections.

**They DID generously deduct 2400 votes from Bush's margin of victory in Ohio.
