I'm 99.9% sure that Trump will be impeached despite what some folks are saying to the contrary [View all]

First of all, the world class asshole in the White House deserves to be impeached like no other person in history. Secondly, I honestly believe that he WILL be impeached because not only would it be wrong not to do so, but if he isn't impeached, I think it could spell disaster for the Democratic Party as we know it today. It's time for all Democrats to unite in standing up to Trump, and it's time to stop being so fearful of impeachment.

It's hard to believe how anyone could possibly compare this to what happened when Clinton was impeached and how some folks are so worried that we might lose seats in the House because that's what happened to Republicans after Clinton was impeached. Really? Well, if we don't impeach Trump, then it could be perceived by many that we just don't care enough about what he's doing, or worse yet, that we approve of what he's doing. OTOH, if we DO impeach the asshole, then we just might gain seats in the House out of respect for us doing what was the right thing to do. Either way, it's time to stop being so paranoid of what might happen if we impeach. We need to at least try because it's simply the right thing to do in order to hold him accountable.

And please stop worrying about the probability that the corrupt GOP senators would most likely never vote to remove him. We already know that. Instead, ask yourself this: Do you want to stand by and do nothing to hold the Monster accountable, or would you rather do what's right by exposing his nefarious ways to everyone through impeachment hearings? Yes, the crooked GOP senators probably won't vote to remove him, but they cannot prevent impeachment by the House, nor can they prevent the damaging hearings that would follow, hearings that could very well cause the egotistical sociopath to resign, rather than face the embarrassment those hearings would bring to him. At the very least, though, impeachment hearings would get the word out on Trump to many of the people who most need to hear it.

We all know how corrupt and horrible Trump is, but believe it or not, a significant percentage of folks across the country do not, and impeachment hearings are one of the most important ways to get through to some of them. A little bit of education goes a long ways, and what better way to educate than through impeachment hearings.

Impeachment provisions were written into the Constitution to protect our country from lunatics just like Trump. We should never forget that, but this particular impeachment isn't just for us. Most of the world is counting on us to do something about Trump, and impeachment is the most damaging weapon we currently have in our arsenal to use against him. The world is counting on us to do what's right and to hold this scumbag accountable.

As the old saying goes: Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
