We never really kidded ourselves about corruption in politics or lying or misleading statements, it was “politics as usual”. But in this case, this blatant in your face corruption with naked intent of trying to bury your political opponent with wild innuendos hyped by a foreign power puts us within the “You can’t handle the truth” scenario.

The shock of dumping all that on the public might have the same effect as proving aliens really do exist or that Jesus was a myth or that republicans really are going to lower your taxes.
