...if the Democrats pull a Neville Chamberlain on impeachment, it will normalize everything Trump has done and cast the Democrats as a weak, secondary party for all time. Steny Hoyer has to realize that elections will be tainted and manipulated by rule breaking Republicans if they are not subjected to the rule of law.

Republicans have proven to be in line with Trump and his horror show, and will now routinely break the law to win elections, then when in power, break the law to bend government to benefit them and their benefactors. It will be, in my opinion, essentially the end of the American experiment and we will become Rome 2.0
