Impeachment is part of their duties as lawmakers when it's clear that the president is a corrupt piece of shit and needs to be held accountable. It shouldn't be something that is optional based on what they believe is most politically advantageous to them.
This scumbag needs to held responsible for his crimes or it's clear that the rule of law means absolutely nothing in this country and that the president can pretty much do anything he wants with zero fear of consequences. Is that the message we really want to send?
