The Dems in the House have hired expert lawyers. They are weighing the various strategies. There's not exactly a roadmap; we are in uncharted waters.
They are determining a strategy that will work best. There is time. Once impeachment hearings start, there's no turning back. We have one shot. It's important that the public be in agreement, because impeachment won't remove him.
There is more than one way to skin a cat. It's worthwhile to consider various strategies, rather than move headlong into something in a rash way.
We have some time.
Impeachment is not off the table. Pelosi never said that. None of the Democratic leaders have said that.
It's actually as important, if not more important, if they are able to get secret indictments filed, so Trump is arrested after he leaves office. I don't know if they are able to do that.
This is uncharted territory. They are consulting lawyers, having meetings, sent out over 88 subpoenas or official requests for documents, called witnesses to testify. They are proceeding in an orderly fashion. "Proceeding" being the operative word.
