In reply to the discussion: Colonoscopy... chicken broth for prep day? [View all]Blue_true
(31,261 posts)93. I lasted about an hour. I remember getting up the first time around six or seven times that night.
The second time went smoother, I knew not to work late and took time to start my prep in the afternoon.
I am not naturally regular. It is not uncommon for me to go 2-3 days without a bowel movement and I actually drink plenty of water too. I have been that way all my life.

It's only a 24-hour fast, which does the body good. My doctor said clear liquids, but I did water.

Same here. I was asked to count down from one hundred. I don't even remember getting out of the 90s.

Same here. I miswrote earlier. In 20 minutes I could have left, but they hold people for an hour.

For prep day itself it shouldnt matter. Its after the prep that clear liquids are necessary.

I had 3 colonoscopies in less then a year so I'm used to the prep and it doesn't bother me.

Had mine yesterday. As they say the prep is the bad part. Apple juice and DEPENDS.
