(18,486 posts)21. They weren't held liable for the students' actions. I think they were held liable for the acts of
some of its deans and professors, pursuant to the legal doctrine "Respondeat Superior" under which an employer can be held responsible for the wrongdoing its employees committed in the course of their employment.
