I think its just random checks, or maybe they didn't like the way I looked, old & disheveled . Anyway, they pointed to a table of free donuts so that took the edge off. Later that week I stopped in, seen the same guy stop a young family in front of me to check, I asked him why are the checking and was told they check if anything is unbagged, can't remember if i had anything unbagged when i was checked but I wasn't checked this time.

It also depends on the Wal*Mart. Four are by me and one regularly checks, it's a 24-hour one.

Just an FYI: If you go through a cashier line, and they make a mistake, you will be arrested.

I LOVE self checkout. I rarely have more than a few things. I dont want to wait behind a cartload.

I go to WalMart regularly. Yes, they randomly check receipts. Even mine, a white older female...
