16. Why didn't Merkley lead a fight against the Senate bill?

Because like you pointed out, people like him and Bernie Sanders live in a Black and White world when things are actually Grey, very Grey in cases like getting aid to people at our southern border.

The issue that I have with Merkley and Sanders and their ardent supporters is they make horrible decisions when people like Trump, Bush Jr and House republicans of 2011 can be prevented from taking power, then they whine like little children when republicans create human rights crisis or fan coal collapse, or whatever, and they point fingers at the representatives and democratic voters who saw the clear and present danger when it COULD BE STOPPED, and who tried to stop it.

Representatives that see only black and white when the world is far more complex, and the voters that worship them disgust me to no end. They are like the abused spouse that attacks anyone that tries to help them out of their predicament.
