12. His voice is so powerful!

When he said that he knew what racism was and that Trump is a racist, I could only think of the beatings, the harassment, the danger he often experienced to simply say I am a human being, I am your equal. That perseverance and determination are so admirable. He is truly a hero, and I think Republicans who heard this man who went through hell solely because of racism and still voted for Trump are simply morally bankrupt. Racism is a sickness that is reaching an epidemic. I’m not sure I have John Lewis’ ability and determination to push forward in the face of near-constant obstruction, but I will fight racism however I can to my last breath.
