If they're paying attention and thinking, and if they go to the polls and vote, then Democrats will win. If they're doing none of those things, the loyal Trump supporters will win, with the help of voter intimidation, registration irregularities and manipulation of facts during the campaign by a whole range of people.

It's sort of going to be up to active Democrats to help turn out the vote, I think, and in high numbers. Who the Democratic nominees are for each office is less important than voter turnout. We did pretty well in 2018. We need to do that well and better in 2020, since the stakes will be higher.
