Did almost the same with my biz. Carpet and upholstery cleaning...needed new truck, a new truck mount cleaning machine, upgrade the computers...sold my client list to a very good fellow cleaner...was going to go on a farewell tour with him to introduce him to my clients...two weeks later had a T.I.A. (Mini-stroke)...never did do the tour...that was 7 years ago...turned 67 this year...love my life as it is now.

That's a very rational decision. At 66, I'm 61 myself, feeling financial secure is important.
