Attorney General Rutledge has opined that we do have open carry in Arkansas. Her opinion, a couple of years ago, is all that stopped the General Assembly from passing an open carry law.

Mind you, there is no basis in Arkansas law for the AG's opinion but most police agencies will operate on the basis that the opinion is correct.
