(4,341 posts)I admire Pelosi for everything she has accomplished in her political career, I have applauded most of her actions during her tenure as Madame Speaker before and now, but I am frustrated, like many other Democrats, at her unwillingness to move into impeachment proceedings, the more time this takes the less effective it will be.
I want action and she has refused and delay the efforts to begin even the impeachment inquiry, maybe it is an strategy, I don't know that, but from what I read, and see it is frustrating to me the lack of action on impeachment and the lack of action in protecting the electoral process. I am disappointed about yesterday's results from NC when it looked like Democrats were going to gain ground in that state. Was it expected that republicans would cheat? of course it was, then what was done? I know this is at a state level, but Pelosi needs to put the efforts to protect the votes at a National level and I don't see that happening.
Attack me all you want, but the facts, at least from what we see as citizens is what I am pointing out.
And the yellow jacket? Let's pretend for a second that there was intent on her using the yellow jacket...How many republicans would understand it, be offended or even care about it? Is that such a huge message? Actions speak louder, what she said at the press conference spoke louder than a jacket, but impeachment should be the number one priority, imagine the damage this administration will do in 16 months. I predict trump will destroy the oval office before he leaves, he needs to be stopped now.
