Amendment XII
"The electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves". (President & VP cannot come from same state)
Amendment XXV
Section 2.
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Not unless Pence resigns. Trump can't fire him, though he could replace him on 2020 ticket.
