(6,254 posts)39. Good question. Not sure if they could be conflicted out for any reason. Beyond my
knowledge but I would guess there is no precedent for excluding a member of the Senate from sitting as a juror in an impeachment proceeding. I wonder if before the trial begins the senators have to take an oath beyond their original oath.
