The more he cow tows and grovels and squirms and snivels and humiliates himself, the worse I think it is. I’m sure he would much prefer to hide under his desk, sucking his thumb and clinging to his blankly in a cold sweat, but evidently he can’t. He seems to have no choice and would probably prefer to lose his next election than to defy Trump.
